·         Thomas Edwards of Castlegore was born 4 Jan 1669, he married Jean Cairns on 13 Jul 1699 and he died in Castlegore on  27 April 1721. He was the brother of Robert Edwards of Kilcroagh who married Martha La Vie. Their daughter Martha Edwards married Robert, the son of Thomas Spruell of Drumnabeigh / Golan who a was witness and registered this deed.

·         The modern names for the townlands mentioned are Dressoge, Derrynaseer, Greenan, and Curraghamulkin. We do not know how many acres were in this ‘parcel’ of land. It was definitely not the whole of each of those townlands.

·         From this we know that Cornet Andrew had 7 sons in 1719 and we know that the last three were Joseph, Charles and Oliver.
